Henry {Birth Story}
It's Friday! I don't know about you, but I am pretty excited about it :).
It has been a while since I posted on here and I wanted to share some of my favorites from my last birth story.
Audrey and Kris were expecting their third child any day, and everyone was getting so excited! With both their daughters they waited until they were born to find out their gender, and this pregnancy was no different. I got the call just before 6am on Saturday morning letting me know they were heading to the hospital. I jumped out of bed and was out the door within 10 min. The hospital was about a hour and a half away and Audrey had delivered pretty quickly with her last one, so I was worried I might not make it there before the arrival of this one. Thankfully there isn't much traffic that early in the morning, especially on a weekend and I made it to the hospital and up to the room with time to spare. It was still pretty dark out and the blinds were drawn and most of the lights were off. Audrey was resting and saving all of her energy. The midwife arrived to check her and to brake her water, then things stared to progress fairly quickly. About an hour after my arrival and just 30 minutes of pushing she delivered a healthy baby BOY! Kris was so surprised as he thought they were having another girl :).
Kris went home to get the girls and I stayed around to capture those sweet moments of bonding between momma and baby and to capture the meeting between the girls and their baby bother for the first time. Welcome to this sweet family Henry, you are so loved!
